KULONPROGO (November 28, 2023) - On this occasion, Kulonprogo residents had the opportunity to benefit from various social assistance programs provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Antasena Magelang Center and Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). The programs were distributed at the Kulonprogo Social Office in the Special Region of Yogyakarta
Commission VIII of the DPR RI conducted a Specific Working Visit to ensure that the assistance distribution to Beneficiaries can be carried out properly.
The Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs Pepen Nazaruddin said, "The Ministry of Social Affairs is carrying out the government's mandate to improve community welfare through Social Rehabilitation, Social Protection and Social Empowerment. The programs and activities of the Ministry of Social Affairs are implemented through the Work Units at the central level and the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) at the regional level."
"Through this social assistance, we greatly hope that the beneficiaries can obtain their rights and improve their welfare so that the contribution of the Ministry of Social Affairs in poverty alleviation efforts is increasingly felt by all levels of Indonesian society, especially Kulon Progo Regency, DIY Province and its surroundings," Pepen added.
My Esti Wijayanti, a Member of Commission VIII of DPR RI gave her remarks on this occasion. "We are here to ensure that the Kulon Progo community receives appropriate assistance and to receive input from the Kulon Progo Regency Government regarding the social conditions of the community in Kulon Progo Regency. Hopefully all of this can be beneficial for everyone," explained Esti.
The assistance, including Basic Food Assistance, PKH assistance, Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) assistance, and Nusantara Economic Heroes (PENA) program assistance, was symbolically handed over to the Beneficiaries (PM)
Social Assistance consists of the Basic Food Program amounting to IDR112,416,000,000; PKH Assistance of IDR105,523,091,655; ATENSI Program Assistance of IDR33,000,000; and PENA Program Assistance of IDR15,000,000, so that the total Social Assistance distributed in Kulonprogo Regency is IDR217 billion.
One of the social assistance provided from the Member of Commission VIII of DPR RI's proposal is an accessibility aid, a wheelchair, as well as a follow-up through an assessment in the field.
