SEMARANG CITY (November 24, 2023) — The Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Temanggung Kartini Integrated Center in collaboration with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, distributed assistance to beneficiaries in Semarang.

Commission VIII member Wisnu Wijaya Adiputra symbolically handed over assistance totaling IDR21.07 billion at the Gunungpati District Office, Semarang.

The aid, distributed through six Ministry of Social Affairs programs, included IDR11.7 billion for the Family Hope Program (PKH), IDR31.2 million for the Nusantara Economic Heroes (PENA) program, IDR7.82 billion for Basic Necessities Assistance, IDR523.5 million for the Elderly Food Assistance program, IDR913.4 million for Orphan Assistance (YAPI), and IDR79.7 million for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI).

Endah Margya, Head of the Social Rehabilitation Division of the Semarang City Social Office, expressed gratitude for the assistance.

"We are proud and grateful for the distributed Ministry of Social Affairs's assistance in Semarang. It will help empower PPKS to become independent rather than relying on continuous support," she said.

Representing the Gunungpati District government, Nuniek Akhiriani, Head of the District Government Section, thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs and Commission VIII.

"Hopefully, this assistance will provide real benefits and help improve the economy of Semarang’s residents," she said.

In his remarks, Wisnu emphasized that the assistance had been officially approved for distribution to Semarang residents.

"Alhamdulillah, today we are delivering assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs, a budget we have agreed upon and approved. May we meet again under even better and more prosperous conditions," he stated.

Hendra Permana, Head of Administration at the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center, reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to poverty eradication and social protection.

"The Ministry of Social Affairs is dedicated to fighting poverty, ensuring social security, and protecting all Indonesians. We aim to assist and empower recipients to become self-sufficient," he said.

The event was also attended by representatives from the Semarang City Social Office, the Gunungpati District Government, PT Pos Indonesia Semarang Main Branch, and the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center.
