SOUTH LABUHANBATU (November 26, 2023) - 100 representatives of beneficiaries in South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra, received social assistance with a total value of IDR4,185,976,975. The Ministry of Social Affairs symbolically handed over the assistance through the Bahagia Center in Medan with H. Iskan Qolba Lubis, member of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, to the local government.

Secretary of the South Labuhanbatu Regency Social Office, Heri Isworo received the assistance at the Kota Pinang District Office Hall, Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Before handing over the assistance, Iskan Qolba Lubis, Member of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives emphasized that the assistance recipients were registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). If a person is impoverished but has not received assistance, a report to the nearest office is urged.

"If there is a family, a neighbor, father or mother who is underprivileged, but does not receive assistance, that means they are not registered in DTKS. The method is easy, you just have to photocopy your ID card, family card, and house photo, attach it, and give it to the office. Later, the regional operator will help input the data into the DTKS," Iskan explained.

In line with Iskan, the Secretary of the South Labuhanbatu Regency Social Office, Heri Isworo, also reminded that the assistance recipients are registered in the DTKS.

"Remember, ladies and gentlemen, this assistance is conditional assistance, one of which is entering the DTKS and the nature of this assistance is not forever. If there are those around you who need to be able to enter the DTKS, report it through the village SIKS-NG operator," Heri explained.

Representing the Ministry of Social Affairs, Siti Patonah stated that the Ministry of Social Affairs still needs data on beneficiaries for the Orphans (YAPI) program and the Disability and Elderly Meals. Therefore, residents who meet these criteria are expected to register themselves through the Social Office or a companion.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this year we still need data for prospective beneficiaries of the YAPI and Meals programs, especially from South Labuanbatu Regency. Please register through the Social Office, LKSA, and local assistants," explained Patonah.

One of the YAPI aid recipients, Aisyah Pakpahan (16), expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the aid given.

"I just want to say thank you to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Mr. Iskan for providing aid. Hopefully, I can get more aid in the future," Aisyah hoped.
