Pasuruan (November 3, 2024) - Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Social Affairs together with Pasuruan City Social Service visited Rumah Hebat Disabilitas (Disability Great House) in Pasuruan.

During the visit, they discussed empowerment for disabilities.

During the visit, Ministry of Social Affairs also provided assistance to Rumah Hebat Disabilitas in the form of basic food packages consist of rice, eggs, and cooking oil.

Rumah Hebat Disabilitas is a place of empowerment for all kinds of disabilities in Pasuruan City. “The friends here that I know have many businesses, such as Catering,” said Fatma Saifullah Yusuf, an Advisor of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, on Sunday (3/11/2024).

Fatma also explained that in addition to catering, which often collaborates with Pasuruan City Government, there is also screen printing, craft, car/motorcycle washing, haircuts, and massage. " Soon there will also be a therapy house,” she added.

Fatma also explained the empowerment program in the Ministry of Social Affairs during a dialogue with the management of Rumah Hebat and the City Social Service. The empowerment program provides not only business capital but also assistance, which is also provided in collaboration with the local government.

“For example, there is a family, one of them works outside, and there is one who is at home taking care of children (disability), and there is Ministry of Social Affairs who help to increase income from home,” said Fatma.

Related to this, Fatma also emphasized that it must be based on data on potential beneficiaries first.

A total of 603 people with disabilities in Pasuruan City consist of speech deafness, cerebral palsy, and mental intellectual disabilities. “There are around 200 people that rehabilitated at Rumah Hebat,” added Fatma.
