JAKARTA (December 1, 2024) - On the commemoration of IDPD 2024, MoSA launched the IDPD E-Catalog, a digital platform that showcases and markets paintings from persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Indonesia. The symbolic launch was held at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) (1/12) by Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), Vice Minister of Social Affairs, Agus Jabo Priyono, and MoSA officials.

"Congratulations. These three days are a moment of joy for all of us, as we strive to create equal opportunities for every Indonesian citizen and reinforce the principle of equality in creativity," said Gus Ipul.

"Alhamdulillah, today the Minister has given us a special gift for IDPD by featuring outstanding works from disability centers. This initiative allows all of them to participate and showcase their best products," said Norman.

IDPD E-Catalog shows 170 artworks curated by the TIM team, representing various art styles such as realism, abstract, and anime illustration. Portraits of Gus Ipul and Agus Jabo were also displayed among other artworks. These artworks were created by artists with physical, hearing-speech, and mental disabilities.

One of the featured artists is Sadikin Pard (58), an impressionist painter from Malang known for creating artwork using his feet and mouth. Expressing his joy, Sadikin shared, "I am extremely proud and happy that the Ministry of Social Affairs is promoting our work through the E-Catalog. It means a lot to me, and I truly appreciate their support for the community."

As a member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (AMFPA) since 1989, Sadikin has exhibited his work internationally in Switzerland, Germany, and across Asia. One of his paintings even sold for IDR 825 million.

On the first day of the IDPD celebration at TIM, Sadikin performed a live painting demonstration, captivating Ajik Krisna, the owner of Krisna Bali, who purchased one of his artworks. Beyond painting, Sadikin is also an art teacher, offering private lessons and teaching at schools in Malang.

The IDPD E-Catalog is available online at https://kataloghdi.com for the next 15 days. This initiative aims to create sustainable opportunities for artists with disabilities, empowering them to thrive and gain recognition in the broader art community.
